What to Expect

Expectations

My main concern is to find out what is wrong.

Normally your first visit will take 45 minutes to an hour. During this time, I will:

  • Take a full case history.
  • Ask for your permission to give you a thorough physical examination.
  • Perform orthopedic and neurological tests.

It is possible I may send you for x-rays, if they are needed. They will also check for signs of any serious conditions for which you would need to go to your GP or to hospital.

Before any treatment is started, a Chiropractor will explain to you what was found on examination and what the treatment plan would entail. The benefits and any significant risks with your condition and any treatment administered will also be explained.

The number of visits you will need for treatment will depend on your condition, how severe it is, how long you have had the condition and how you respond to treatment.

It will also depend on how much of my advice you follow.
